  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: 1 cup fresh spinach or kale
  • Optional: 1 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • Optional: 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and slice into strips.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute.
  6. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.
  8. Add optional spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli if using.
  9. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat.
  10. Top with the sliced chicken.
