Batch Ginger Lemonade & Ginger‑Thyme Sparkling Lemonade (Perfect for Summer)

Two refreshing summer drinks made with zesty ginger and fresh lemon. Choose between a still batch version or a sparkling thyme-infused twist for an elevated lemonade experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 68 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 6 cups water
  • Ice, for serving
  • For Ginger-Thyme Sparkling Lemonade:
  • 1 small bunch fresh thyme
  • 3 cups sparkling water

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine ginger with 2 cups of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the ginger juice through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  3. Add lemon juice and sweetener. Stir well.
  4. Pour in remaining 4 cups of water and mix to combine.
  5. Chill in the fridge until cold.
  6. For Ginger-Thyme Sparkling Lemonade:
  7. In a small pot, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add thyme, cover, and steep 10 minutes.
  8. Strain thyme water into the ginger lemonade base.
  9. Top with sparkling water just before serving.
  10. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or thyme sprigs if desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to your liking. Make the base ahead and keep chilled; add sparkling water right before serving for optimal fizz.
