Refreshing, flavorful and vibrant ginger-based mocktails that are as beautiful as they are delicious: Hibiscus-Ginger, Cherry-Ginger Agua Fresca, and Cucumber-Ginger Fizz.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 thumb-size piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup pitted cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • Sparkling water
  • Mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. For Hibiscus-Ginger: In a saucepan, bring 2 cups water, hibiscus flowers, half the ginger, and 1/4 cup sugar to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes, then let steep for 15. Strain and chill.
  2. For Cherry-Ginger Agua Fresca: Blend cherries with 1 cup water, remaining ginger, and 1/4 cup sugar. Strain and chill.
  3. For Cucumber-Ginger Fizz: Muddle cucumber slices with lime juice in a glass. Add ice and top with sparkling water.
  4. To serve: Pour each mocktail over ice, garnish with mint, and enjoy cold.

Notes

Feel free to adjust sweetness and ginger intensity to your liking. You can batch these ahead for parties or mix individually to taste.
