  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt (optional, for extra tenderness)
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, garlic, chili flakes, and lime juice.
  2. Add yogurt, coriander, and smoked paprika if using.
  3. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  4. Pour over chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the fridge.
  5. Cook chicken as desired—grill, bake, or pan-fry until fully cooked.
