Method
- Plug in your waffle iron and let it heat up. Spray generously with non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix with the box ingredients (eggs, oil, and water). Stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into the center of the preheated waffle iron, about ½ to ¾ cup per waffle. Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the waffle using tongs or a fork. Repeat with remaining batter, re-spraying the waffle iron as needed.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together with a hand mixer until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Slowly add milk to reach desired consistency.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm red velvet waffles and serve.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle some cocoa powder or add a dollop of whipped cream on top of the waffles.
